Sneaky Dragon Episode 235

Sneaky-Dragon-Episode-235

Ciao, Sneakers! We can’t stop making this show and you can’t stop listening to it.

Well, you could, but we don’t recommend it.

This week on the show: it’s time to spring back for Sneaky Dragon; we want your answers; old-time phone calls; phoneys, foneys and boneys; audience attention grabber: the Aldergrove Telephone Museum featuring the Wichita Lineman’s tools; answering machine messages: what happened?; living up to your name; Ian is obsessed with the Airport movies; Ian finds some cheap airfare for flying over Canada; museum mash ups disappoint; Ian discovers Haida manga (which is apparently a thing); er…that’s it. Sorry, Sneakers, I was having a lot of trouble with the sound on our editing software and couldn’t get to the end of this week’s episode (or couldn’t be bothered?). If you want to know what else we talked about you’ll just have to listen! (But, hey, let me know if there are any glaring issues I missed!)

And thanks for listening.

And please don’t forget to think up some questions for our upcoming Listener’s Questions Episode. As per usual, we’ll have goody bags for all participants and a grand prize that we’ll raffle off to one lucky questioneer. Every question equals one chance so the more questions you ask – the more chances you have to win! Contact us via Twitter, Facebook, email (you can click on the boxes on the right hand side of the screen) or write to us via the comments section here on the website.

Want to know what all the fuss was about?

This is how it’s done, Ian and Dave:

  1. The Haida Manga comic artist you mentioned also created a great piece of public art at Kensington Park in Vancouver at the corner of Knight Rd and E. 33rd Ave. It’s called “Abundance Fenced” and features a series of giant salmon leaping down a retaining wall next to the north soccer field. He combines Haida and Japanese graphic forms. At night, it looks really cool when the red, green and yellow of the traffic lights is reflected off the surface of the fish.

  2. Hi,
I don’t understand what type of questions you are looking for. Is it personal questions, philosophy type questions, general knowledge questions, questions that spark a good conversation on the podcast, or perhaps dragon related questions?
    Cheers, Paul

    1. Hi Paul,

Any sort of question you think would make for a good conversation or something you’d like to hear us talk about. If you’d like to hear us talk about philosophy, go right ahead. We have (uninformed) opinions!
