Sneaky Dragon Episode 271

Ciao, Sneakers! Welcome to another episode of Sneaky Dragon. This week Ian and Dave join the show in progress; eat at White Spot; relish a hamburger; hate Shakespeare; play Sneaky Dragon bingo; complain about the weather; colour comics; look at the wrong end of long-term projects; wonder who they’re creating for; get in creative ruts; say goodbye to some friends; smoke to look cool; and, finally, announce two new contests (of sort):

  1. If you live in the Vancouver area or are planning to be in Vancouver in the next little while, Ian and Dave will treat you to a post-podcast recording session meal at their favourite White Spot.  That’s right – your own private Sneaky Dragon show with Ian and Dave paying for your meal. Sound too good to be true. It’s not. (No, really it’s not.) Just send us your name by any means necessary. (We will announce a closing date for this contest soon. Get your names in!!!)
  2. Ian and Dave would like to hear your stories of blown chances. Simply record a two to two and half minute story on your phone and email it  to sneakyd@sneakydragon.com or message it to Sneaky Dragon’s Facebook page. We will not only play your story, we will add a music soundtrack reflecting the story too.

Phew!

Thanks for listening!

Ian advises against it:

  1. Classic Dragon on iTunes sounds a cool idea. As a completist, though, I’ll keep on working my way through the archive.

Of course, I love all your shows, especially the early, funny ones…

  2. I told David that the colours he’s giving the book gives it a very unique look that I’ve never seen before, which is great. He’s definitely adding his own touch to it, and listening to my directions really well!

Regarding people: I find that the older I get, the less I get along with people I’ve known for a long time who stubbornly remain in a rut. I would say I’ve been pretty successful in my career, and they stay in the same cynical bed they’ve made for themselves, which is sad because I can’t talk to them like I used to.

  3. I know you can set up a Skype account for people to call in on – UK podcast ‘Answer Me This’ have used it for years. Pretty sure that it would be free.

  4. Are you offering for the winner to actually view the making of the podcast? Holy Crap, what an awesome opportunity — I hope I do not screw it up. mmmmmmmmmm.
