Sneaky Dragon Episode 283

by David Dedrick on May 6, 2017

Hola, Sneakers! Welcome to Episode 283 of Sneaky Dragon. Well, it’s all back to normal at Sneaky Dragon HQ as we’ve got the big two episode movie quiz out of the way. All we have to worry about this week is Dave’s surprising starts; awkward small talk; classy sex toys; sneaky ghost cars; maudlin Gen X reminiscing; Sneakception; tricky comedy; sea skeletons; Dave as humanity’s base model; time travel tips; haunted house burials; sexy clowns; Schoolhouse Rocks remarks; jingo jingle; cartoon bubblegum music; Dave’s best Archie song; funny animals redux; newspaper funnies and strips that changed during their run; cookie time (!); and, finally, raccoons are gross.

Thanks for listening.

Don’t forget about our two ongoing contests:

  1. Have some dinner with Ian and Dave, and, if you want, watch Sneaky Dragon being recorded. All you have to do is send us a little message that says, “I’d like to eat with you!” and Ian and Dave will treat you to an after-show meal at their favourite White Spot.
  2. Send us your story. That’s right. Just your story. If you need a prompt, Ian suggested “your secret origin” and Dave suggested “how how you found Sneaky Dragon” Please record a two to three minute story and send it to us via email ( or our Facebook page. Or Skype Sneaky Dragon and leave a message on our voicemail. David will add a playlist for your story as well.

The best Archies song (according to Dave):

That curiously religious song from Josie and the Pussycats:

The original version of Josie and the Pussycats featured Patrice Holloway (sister of Brenda Holloway), Cherie Moor (later known as Cheryl Ladd) and Cathy Douglas.

What is the name and artist of the song at the end of this podcast? It is driving me crazy.

It’s Josie and the Pussycats with their single “Stop, Look and Listen”, Heather. The almost clone of The Jackson 5’s “ABC” I mentioned during the show. Now you know!

I listen to your podcasts when I go to sleep at night so I frequently miss patches. This does not reflect on the your content. Boring content does not put me to sleep. Also because I miss parts I can listen over and over again and get something from them each time I listen. Thanks for responding and keep the conversations coming.
