Best of the season, Sneakers! Welcome to episode 315. This week Ian and Dave are joined by the final winner of our “Come Eat with Us”, Crystal King and her husband Ryan to overhear Ian and Dave’s movie plans; give some compliments to Dave; figure out some obscure board games; provide some delicious snacks; ride on a penny-farthing bicycle; wear some special bicycle shoes; have an acne mix-up; get into a D & D nerd out; bring babies to the movies; get into a children and environment versus genetics controversy; discuss jobs and shops; do some farming; do the gym thing; worry about net neutrality; discuss concert memories and disappearing venues; controverse about Star Wars; make some Chick Talk™; and, finally, attempt to answer Dave’s question: Are generations divided by age or by cultural phenomenon?
Thanks for listening. And thanks to Crystal and Ryan King for dropping by!
And we would love to hear from you: Are generations divided by age or by cultural phenomenon? Discuss.

Yes! So many bruised knuckles.
We used to play a similar game! We called it “Spoons”. And there were only enough spoons in the centre for everyone minus one; so there was one person who lost per round. They often had to do something unpleasant for losing, and in our kid circle that meant eating a bit of something in the kitchen, no matter what it was. An old jar of Cheez-whiz, instant mashed potato powder, a very squishy carrot found at the bottom of the veggie drawer… needless to say, I never tried to win, I just stared at those spoons unblinking and the minute someone went for them so did I. Losing was not worth it!
I’m so behind on Sneaky Dragon, please forgive me…!!
The game you’re thinking about, Dave, is Tsuro. 🙂 A really easy-to-learn, fun, and quick-to-play game. I’m a big fan! https://www.calliopegames.com/read/45/tsuro
If you’re this far behind I’m so sorry we did two episode this week.
Thanks, Heather! I was able to find the game and give it as a Christmas present despite not knowing its name. The game is very popular with our young game players!
