Here is the tour of Don Rosa’s house Dave mentioned during the show. It’s in four parts, but here is the first:

  1. I’m not sure why our culture is so height-obsessed, but I often find myself looking up performers’ heights out of curiosity, knowing that camera angles and strategic supporting casting can make shorter lead actors look taller. Maybe it goes back to prehistoric times when it was a survival advantage to have tall people in your group who could run fast or throw a spear far. These days, I think we’ve been conditioned to find anyone out of the norm to be funny — eg. the tall one, the short one, the chubby one. I’m not sure why the Whose Line cast is so tall. Maybe they gravitated to each other because, when it comes to improv, they really do see eye-to-eye.

    (according to the internet)
    Ryan Stiles 6’6″
    Brad Sherwood 6’4″
    Colin Mochrie 6’2″
    Greg Proops 6′
    Aisha Tyler (current host) 6′
    Wayne Brady 5’11”
    Drew Carey (past host) 5’10”

  2. Good lord, that video. Marie Kondo must visit him next season! I would totaly watch it then.

“I don’t like it but I have to buy it.” Wow.

Also, there are quite a few asides and jabs here and there that are downright bizarre and crotchety. “I don’t know why anyone would care for Daisy Duck.” … ? Maybe if he spent the time to work her in to an interesting character like he did with Scrooge and Donald and the nephews, people might care about her. Maybe?? Then he covers up all the Mickey Mouse faces with Scrooge faces. Says Mickey’s Christmas Carol Scrooges are “fake.” Ducktales. “Fake.” When he talks about some things it just reminds you of being stuck in line at the comic shop behind ranty fanboys who hate what they’re buying but “I have to buy it.”

I did talk to the guy at a Calgary show and he seemed nice enough. Got a quick sketch for my brother for free, but I saw later he was doing the same face for every one and, I dunno, I make my sketches super unique for people. It wasn’t as cool in the end. I suppose if I didn’t charge for mine I’d do the least I could too.

  3. On Dave’s response to Nina’s suggestion that he get rid of the horse stuff: Congratulations! That was the correct response! You win the Grand Prize!! You get to stay married (insert Price is Right music here).
