Sneaky Dragon Episode 386

Hola, Sneakers! Welcome to the wonderful and frightening world of Sneaky Dragon!!!

Well…really not that wonderful…or frightening actually…so…sigh…

This week on the show: behind; backlash; Penn trivia; cheese and crackers; honky cats; honky chats; BJs; obscure 80’s sitcoms; party chickens; black crows; valuable frogs; party people; approaching disaster; disaster averted; canapé tips; that’s a Reacher; Ms. Taken; Jane Austen’s Reacher; Dave’s Jane Austen name; Question of the Week: Sneakers respond; flailing arm; shots fired; Star Wars and Star Trek; creators separated from their creations; drawing feet; Big Cowboy; and, finally, extreme tiredness.

Question of the Week: What is the hardest thing to draw?

Sub-question: For which movie – that has not had a sequel – would you like to see a sequel?

Thanks for listening.

  1. It’s hard for me to draw men’s faces. If I don’t use references, they end up looking like Orlando Bloom as Legolas.

I enjoyed Dave’s impromptu Jane Austen Reacher pitch. It made me think of P.D. James’ genre-blending whodunit, Death Comes To Pemberley. It’s a sequel to Pride and Prejudice written as a murder mystery. The BBC did an adaptation of it in 2013. The prime suspect is George Wickham who is played with suitable desperation by Matthew Goode, before his turn as a vampire professor.

I want to see a sequel to Eighth Grade called First Year. I’d be curious to see how the lead is coping with the highs and lows of her freshman year of college. In my first year, I came down with mono, without the benefit of having been kissed. What was your worst memory of your first year of college?
