Sneaky Dragon Episode 99

Sneaky-Dragon-Episode-99
Oh, mighty Sneakers, we have an awesome show for you this week! Ian and David are in training for their big 100th Episode Live Show at the Rio Theatre so they take up the speedball and jump rope, and: talk about Canada’s great one – number 99; learn that Ian’s run out of Improv; flatten and fold Al Jaffee; talk about Dave’s very large Don Martin; discover that Ian is scared of some of the usual gang of idiots; explain the difference between Juggs and Jug Magazine; take a look, a long and lasting look, at Playboy Magazine and Hugh Hefner. Also, Ian tells us his Playboy Mansion story; Dave tells a terrifying story; they have a Joe Clark-Off; play Pie Toppers; and this week, Dave’s Deck Talk is joined by Pierce’s Porch Palaver!

May we remind you one last time that Ian and Dave will be celebrating their 100th episode with a live show at the Rio Theatre (right after The Critical Hit Show) on October 30th. If you want, you can watch The Critical Hit Show (with our own Ian Boothby as Benoit, the Half-Elf Cleric) and stay for Sneaky Dragon (be there around 7:30 – tickets are $9.00 at the door or $6.00 on line). Or you can come to our 10:00 PM show for free! It’s up to you, but we highly recommend Critical Hit. It’s a ton of fun. We will be selling our t-shirts as well, plus some other stuff perhaps.

I promised to post Pierce’s Porch Palaver so here is his description of all his hard work:

After hearing Dave’s Deck Talk, I thought I’d join in with Pierce’s
Porch Palaver;

I had to replace my gutter and repaint some wood because the borough
was withholding an occupancy permit until I fixed it. But I ended up
just tearing off a lot of unnecessary wood that was rotten. I didn’t
feel like painting rotten wood. That should be a phrase “There’s no
point in painting rotten wood!” or “Don’t waste paint on rotten wood!”
I feel like there a saying with a similar idea, but I can’t put my
finger on it.

The second picture also includes my annoying neighbor’s car, who for
some reason always parks in front of my house and often blocks my
sidewalk. I actually had to stand on his car to finish painting even
though I told him I was painting and put a chair and rope up to block
the spot. He kind of parked there after a while because it took me a
week or two to do it because I kept forgetting parts of the porch and
then kind of got sick of doing it in the middle of the project. I
could have knocked on his door and asked him to move it, but he works
nights and because of the temperature changes (and I kind of work like
a second shift) I was doing it in the mornings and didn’t want to wake
him up.

After I got everything painted and it rained a few days later I
noticed the stairs aren’t sloped so water puddles on them. Dang it!

On another note, about a week after Ian was annoyed with cyclists in
protected green lights, I was behind a car on a bicycle (I’m one of
those cyclists) and the dang lady was screwing around on her phone or
something and wasted a lot of protected green time until I rang my
bell. I see that a lot.

I continue to enjoy the show

And here are the before and after pictures of Pierce’s Herculean labours:

As we can all see, Pierce did a great job and his porch looks a lot better. Dave better step his game up!

Dave also talked about his marathon posting Sneaky Dragon/making pies session. Here are the results: Blueberry, raspberry and pumpkin. Yum!

Thanks for listening!
