I would like to leave an impassioned defense of Spellbound (1945) as one of Hitchcock’s best but it’s been 15 years. So I guess David wins this round.
I would like to add that I didn’t like Sinners (2025). It’s a vampire movie that really cares about vampire lore rules like vampires have to be invited in until it becomes inconvenient for the plot and the vampires can just run in and attack.
