Yes, at Mary’s insistence, they watched Christopher McQuarrie’s second screenwriting effort with director Bryan Singer, The Usual Suspects.

A sleek, stylish thriller with a fantastic central performance, it also won McQuarrie an Oscar for Best Screenplay, but it left Mary and Dave a little cold. Why? Well, let them fansplain that for you.
