Sneaky Dragon Episode 184

Sneaky-Dragon-Episode-184

Hello, Sneakers! This week: Shhh…it’s a sneaky Sneaky Dragon; let’s look at animal breeding and ask, “WHAT ARE THEY DOING???”; Dave’s manly jobs; Sneaky Dragon advice: “Check yourself before your body wrecks itself”; in the end,Dave did enjoy Strip Search; he recommended the documentary Stripped to Ian…and also to you; don’t tell Ian your job is hard; Dave doesn’t want in on the ground floor; Dave saw the Brian Wilson bio-pic and he has some thoughts; Dave went to a Sufjan Stevens concert…again; and, finally, it was Ian’s birthday week – if only he’d celebrated it!

Thanks for listening.

The horse podcast has been talked about in the message board and in an episode of Sneaky Dragon; therefore, as Canadian law dictates, it must happen.

  1. So, which season of Dave is left for Ryan Stiles to play? High-school drama classDave? Or shipper/receiver Dave? BTW, happy birthday, Ian!

  2. Happy Birthday Week. Saw the pictures of your sailboat cake. It looked awesome…listing precariously and on fire! Not even the now-closed Kitsilano Coast Guard base could’ve saved it from total consumption!

Wait. 2012 didn’t work? It may not be saying much but it’s easy one of the best of the disaster genre.

  3. I still want to find out what the resolution was to Dave’s deck! (I hope it wasn’t *covered* in an episode I missed.)

Speaking of horses, does Dave have any favored footwear for walking around in mud?

Also totally late to the game, but I’m enjoying Totally Tintin. Saw one guy didn’t like Ian in the first episode, but I enjoyed it. I think it was much better than the first Completely Beatles episode, in the Ian’s jokes and Dave’s knowledge balance.

  4. Great show….thanks for that..
Happy Belated Birthday Ian…congrats on the PS4..
My Ian was totally jealous…rolled over in bed..pulled the book away from my face and said ‘HE can play Fallout 4’…LOL! (Ian’s still got an Xbox 360 and thinks I’m not as nice as your wife…we’ll see at Christmas)
Liked Dave’s sperm whale popsicle comment….induced laughter and forced me to call him an a-hole in the most endearing way possible.
    Have a good week both

  5. Hey Dave – Re: The Penny Arcade dudes being chumps for signing away their comic, you have to keep it in context man! The comic started in 1998, back in the wild west days of the internet, where there was like 5 webcomics out there total. There wasn’t a path to follow; they were the ones blazing the trail, for good or bad. The terrible contract was signed quite early on in the life of the comic, way before there were even lawyers who were trained in digital copyright that could have advised them otherwise. The ones who specialized in it at the time were working for McDonalds or Exxon or whatever, not on spec for dudes who do dick jokes on the internet. They signed away the comic because not only did they not have anywhere to (easily/cheaply) access the info they would have needed to protect their creative properly, the rules on how to do that were still being created and cemented. I don’t even like Penny Arcade, but it’s not fair to say they were idiots about the mess when it happened before anyone reasonably could have had a “smart” way to handle it.

    1. My apologies if I came across sounding like I thought Ron and Jeremy were chumps for signing away their work. I actually just meant to highlight the value of the “contract game” on the Strip Search web series.

However, any competent contract lawyer could have advised them against signing such an onerous contract and I think if you asked either Sam or Dean would tell you that no such lawyer was ever consulted, which, while perhaps not chump-like, was certainly naive.
