Sneaky Dragon Episode 192

Sneaky-Dragon-Episode-192

Hola, Sneakers! This week on Sneaky Dragon, Ian and Dave discuss Dave’s mysterious new job; Dave opines about cancer bores..again (Is he a cancer bore bore?); Ian and Dave both praise some Netflix documentaries – Ian like Hurricane of Fun, about the filming of the original Wet Hot American Summer and Dave likes Muscle Shoals, about the famous music studio in the little town that shouldn’t; Dave also talks about the Foo Fighters’ doc Sonic Highway, which he only gives a partial thumbs up due to its high Foo Fighters content; Ian and Dave roundly condemn hunting; Dave also roundly condemns Facebook shaming, Ian not so much; Ian poo-poos death threats; they discuss perception of crime; scary mob mentalities; liberal and conservative bully tactics; and Ian thinks the younger generation will be safe from Internet hysteria – Dave, the dad, disagrees. Hmmm.

Thanks for listening.

  1. Conversation killer….my Father died last Friday trumps our cancer…(yep you’re not alone…I don’t talk about it…but totally get why someone would..it’s bleeding awful, frightening, stressful, tiring etc…)
That out of the way….square mule’s with bow ties will save the world… LOL!
Congrats Dave on the new sort of job!!!
Ian, too true re: fake death threats…its the quiet psycho one must worry about.
Dave…the dentist was a massive douche…totally agree. I can’t say I’m outraged by it, just annoyed that that dick shares my air.

Ian and I watched the Muscle Shoals doc on NF…before he fell asleep he was shouting out the guitarists and drummers names…I can’t remember though sorry. I watched Nina Simone doc…seems she was a bit of a grumpy bugger….but I love her…

    Gamergate… Blah…ermmm…Geezus H Christmas! LOL!!!
Anyway good show this week…thanks very much
    All the Best

  2. Here’s what I want to know: Has there ever been an internet death threat that’s been followed through? If so, then they all have to be taken seriously.

As for public shaming, I’m looking forward to reading this book by Jon Ronson. I think there have been real consequences beyond feeling crappy for a few weeks by the shamee.
