Sneaky Dragon Episode 273

Ciao, Sneakers! It’s Sneaky Dragon time! This week on the show, Dave has a terrible cold. So, while coughing and wheezing, he and Ian discuss Facebook addiction; enjoy ego baths; change show content to be liked; discover it was funnier in the past; wonder if they narrowcast; find the truth to be embarrassing; pronounce Dave to still be cool; pooh-pooh cool parents; ponder the disappearance of high school cliques; remember high school sex; join in the general condemnation of sex with minors; criticize Dave’s addiction to praise; get bad reviews; go to a racism workshop; view Seth; have issues with control issues; find some reasons to watch Hitman 47; think that Agents of Shield is getting really good; and, finally, condemn Flash-cest.

You know about our contests:

  1. Have some dinner with Ian and Dave, and, if you want, watch Sneaky Dragon being recorded. All you have to do is send us a little message that says, “I’d like to eat with you!” and Ian and Dave will treat you to an after-show meal at their favourite White Spot.
  2. Send us your story of a missed opportunity. Please record a two to three minute story and send it to us via email (sneakyd@sneakydragon.com) or Facebook page. Or Skype Sneaky Dragon and leave a message on our voicemail. David will add a playlist for your story as well.

Thanks for listening.

It’s really good:

  1. At our elementary school, I seem to recall they showed both of the sex ed films “Girl to Woman” and “Boy to Man” to us in Grade 6, but they had separate screenings for the boys and girls. I remember my twin brother and his friend giggling and making jokes about what they’d learned about the female reproductive system after school got out that day. This would’ve been circa 1974 so maybe Vancouver’s school district was a little more progressive than yours out in the sticks of the Lower Mainland.

BTW, those films are on YouTube if you need a refresher course.

  2. Oh geez. It’s always the ones I’m late listening to that I get namechecked. Sim’s declaration of non-misogynence seemed to me to be an example of the feelings he wasn’t supposed to have as a Male Light. But, it’s good to see that Dave D believes friendship can transcend some odious personal views. It doesn’t seem common down here.

  3. Finally got a moment to watch the sex ed films with my Ian…he’s not confused any longer! Thanks guys! LOL!
