Sneaky Dragon Episode 343

Hola, Sneakers! Welcome to a rather antic episode of Sneaky Dragon. We haven’t heard an overtired Ian and Dave struggle through a show for a while so this is a real treat!

This week on the show: opening confusion; Question and Answer episode plugs; poor rhymer; Blake’s babies; animated song ads; not speaking of; eagle vs. crow; begin on a sad note; some bee advice; horse fathers; robots and the Rocky-verse; no sleep till Sneaky Dragon; no sequels – an Incredibles 2 discussion; let’s rewrite Return of the Jedi; don’t hurt yourself, Tom Cruise; ant music; drums and wires; messy self-reflection; good clean up advice; hot water tank report; doctors and new doctors and no family family doctors; and, finally, the show ends.

Thanks for listening.

That’s right, folks. Episode 350 is coming up fast. Get your questions to Ian and David. Here’s your chance to make them talk about something you’re actually interested in! Finally! Tweet, Facebook, comment  down below or email your questions to sneakyd@sneakydragon.com

See? The Bees were a real band!

Bad trailer!

Great song!

  1. I have to disagree about that Ant-Man and the Wasp trailer. That looks like fun.

The Honeybees are about forty times more enjoyable than the Bees.

Here is my question for each of you for episode 350: If you were given a pile of money and carte blanche by a big comic book publisher to create a twelve-issue series, what subject matter do you feel would be big enough for you to cover? You don’t have to give us specific story ideas, in case you think this might actually happen in the future.

I have a Tumblr called ALTERED IDS, in which I post artists’ reinterpretations of well-known characters. For the month of June, in honor of Superman’s birthday, I posted a different take each day on the cover of Action Comics #1. I only bring it up here because I used two of Dave’s pieces. If you care to see the bunch of them, they’re here: https://alteredids.tumblr.com/tagged/action_comics_1

Thanks for a great show! Your version of Return of the Jedi sounds much better than what we got.

    1. Yeah, I was a little debated out by that point but I agree the trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp looks really fun too. In other Marvel Entertainment, I really liked this season of Legion and Luke Cage. Not totally on board with Cloak and Dagger yet but glad they’re trying something different.

      1. I don’t watch much TV at all, but I liked the first season of Luke Cage, and you talk up Legion enough that I’ll have to try it eventually. My daughter watches Cloak and Dagger. Before it started I showed her their first appearance in Peter Parker #64. It really shook me up when I was twelve. Not so much now. She found the storytelling style and gangster lingo positively antique.

  2. Okay, so I think Captain America is still a Marvel-type hero.
If you go by movie canon, he spends his life (during the Great Depression, mind you) being bullied for being weak and small and yet he continually makes the choice to be a good, kind person. If a DC character was bullied all their life and suddenly got super powers, that’s a villain, not a hero.
