  1. Just to clarify, all shows after my 67th birthday concert on April 30th will be with the full participation of the Whole NO FUN Gang, of which Sneaky Dragon’s own Dave Dedrick is first among equals owing to longevity. Just to murkify, my birthday is actually May 1st. However, at the 8 PM Pacific showtime they will be celebrating my birthday in Atlantic Canada, followed halfway through the show by Eastern Canada.

  2. Heellllooo…

I want to address an important subject byyyyyeeee….

No, wait, I mean it is the subjet….. I think I took it from Sherlock, the hostess, assistant, err, women… the one who picks up Watson with the Limousine, in Study In Pink, I think. When Watson, leaving the car, try to get her numba she just reply byyyyyeee.

And Simone Gerz, the only person to own a Tesla Pickup truck, because DIH… Do It Herself, ends her videos by ByyYYyyyyyEEeeeee.

I love to pick expressions or languages tics from characters, like “WôT” from the prison guy in Life of Brian, “Shhhheeeee” from Clay Davis of The Wire

    So biiiyyyyYYyyeeeee….

  3. Question 1: I rarely, rarely, rarely bring my work home with me. I worry that it will get misplaced somehow, so I usually just stay at my desk and work through lunch to get stuff done.
Question 2: Baskin Robbins’ Chocolate Mousse Royale, hands down.

  4. I always used to get Pralines ‘N Cream when there was still a Baskin Robbins shop in our neighborhood. Now I like Salted Caramel from Earnest, a local artisanal ice cream company. For gelato, I prefer lemon or lime. At home, we always have Breyer’s French Vanilla ice cream in the freezer. When it’s on sale, you can get a 1.66 litre carton for the price of a single scoop at a fancy-schmancy place and it tastes great on apple crisp, pie or in a sundae with fresh strawberries and real maple syrup.

  5. I do take my work home probably three nights a week and most weekends because I’m an English teacher. Lots of essays to grade.

My favorite ice cream flavor is chocolate. If it’s double-chocolate or chocolate fudge, all the better.

I just finished your Compleatly Beatles podcast and loved every episode. I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on the Get Back documentary. If you’ve already done it, I’ll come across it eventually because I’m working my way backwards through your Sneaky Dragon episodes.

    Thanks.

Hello Ian and David and Sneaky people!

I do not bring work home with me per se, as I do massage in a spa and when my scheduled sessions are finished, I head home happily unencumbered. I do, however, keep a portable table at my house and will sometimes take it to friends who are in need. My husband and family really love that massage table when it comes out.

My favorite ice cream flavor is tough to pin down as I haven’t found one I do NOT like, although there are some I’ve not tried that sound pretty yucky (i.e. rum raisin, which Ian, I believe, says is pretty good, and “birthday cake”). I’m going through a chocolate phase currently, but I’m always looking forward to Ben & Jerry’s “Chunky Monkey” when I feel like a special treat.

Ed, you asked what I think of “Morbius: well, I tend to agree with Ian’s groans over it. I knew it would not be a fave Marvel film. But I didn’t HATE it, and the grandson liked it, AND it doesn’t matter it’s kind of a stinkeroo because he and I got a movie date, had our large drinks and shared a great big bucket of buttery popcorn. Grandson even put his arm around his Gram’s shoulders for awhile in the scary bits. So Morbius, in the end, is alright, pointy teeth and all! And Ed, you’re going to be a fabulous Grandpa when the time comes!

Nasty Chris Roberts, if you keep sharing those fab cartoons by Ian and Pia, you’re going to have to drop the “nasty”, cause that was too sweet and very thoughtful! I love that cartoon!!! Thank you!

David and Ian and all, have a grand week!

Laurel, I’ll take yours and Ian’s word on “Morbius”, groans and all. You’d think SONY would have learned their lesson with Venom 2 and Morbius but just this week they announced seven new Spider-man “Universe” films! Kraven the Hunter, Madame Web, Venom 3, Spider-Woman, Silver Sable, Nightwatch and Sinister Six. Is Spider-Man in any of these? Is this a sad attempt at world building for the Spider-Man SONY franchise? I guess SONY can afford to take these risks after making billions on the last Spider-Man film, right? Now I’m wondering if I’ll be taking my future grandchild to any of these…

Since we work from home on Mondays and Fridays now, I guess that counts as working from home. I remember when we were at home full time during the first year of the pandemic, the main concern was “when to stop” working. This was a big concern at the time and we felt like the “Office Martyrs” were taking advantage of those of us who quit at 6:00 pm. Our owners have a way of praising those in our company who are willing to answer an email at 2:00 am and revise something but my creative group tries our best not to fall into that hole.

Just this last weekend we were working on a huge presentation for Chick-fil-A, our biggest client, so it was in our best interest to work together within our creative group and get as much done as we could before early Tuesday morning when the meeting was.

All this aside, I do try to get as much done as I can during work hours but in my industry working overtime is necessary from time to time. I once had a manager at Dr Pepper who frowned upon taking work home, he’d often say, “If you can’t get your work done in a 40 hour workweek, you’re not doing your job.” He didn’t last long and he was canned along with the rest of us. Good times and fuck you Dr Pepper. Burn in hell. #notapepper

I mentioned a budget ice cream from Sam’s a few weeks ago that was Dutch Chocolate laced with thick ribbons of peanut butter, pretty damned great for budget ice cream but no longer available. South of me and closer to Houston, is where Bluebell Ice Cream is headquartered. You can get just about any Bluebell flavor of ice cream you want locally but my hand’s down favorite is Tin Roof. The Bluebell website reads, “Tin Roof is a creamy vanilla ice cream with a rich chocolate fudge swirl and roasted peanuts dipped in dark chocolate. We have been making this flavor since 1980…a true classic indeed!” This was from 2017 and poor old Tin Roof seems to have rusted up and retired since then, I haven’t found it in years. Once again, maybe it’s the diabetic gods trying to tell me something when my favorite flavors have both been shelved, back to eating sugar free frozen paste.

Ian asked me about Moon Knight last week, I’m sorry to say I never read much about him years back. The Disney+ show is a complete reveal to me so I’m taking in the series week by week. How accurate is the series to the comic Ian? Are you watching it? I get more of a Marvel Netflix feel from it than I would the mainline MCU stuff. I’d have to say “Hawkeye” was my favorite Disney+ Marvel series last year and nothing really touches “Daredevil” in the streaming world of Marvel, it’s worth rewatching for Vincent D’Onofrio alone.

Time to go, my cat is demanding my attention.
Until next week, everyone Sneak carefully out there!
